Prayer

Recently, I came to one of the most important questions that any man can ask.
"Does God always answer prayer?"

The Bible has a lot to say about this. One scripture comes to mind is at Psalms 65:2 "Everyone will come to you because you answer prayer," where God is called "the hearer of prayer". Another is at Acts 10:34, 35 "Now I am certain that God treats all people alike. God is pleased with everyone who worships him and does right, no matter what nation they come from." This verse tells that "God is not partial," and that in "every nation" the one who wants to please him, is "acceptable to him". So yes he does hear our prayers, no matter where we live, what race we are, whoever we are. However, the Bible also tells us what is neccessary for God to listen to our prayers, and if he sees fit, act on them. God loves us very much but why He doesn't answer every prayer that we ask for? Why, if God gave us all we prayed for, then we are the person should rule the world, and not Him! And surely we are not capable of doing that. In John 5:14 tells us that whatever "We ask, according to His will, He hears us". So while we pray, always keep in mind God's will. However, we can pray for things like pray for His forgiveness of our sins and pray that we will not be overcome by the devils and his temptations. We also pray that he will give us His spirit to help us through if we are undergoing a hard emotional time. Sometimes, we may even be under a great deal of pressure, that we may not even know what to ask for. In Romans 8:26, 27 "In certain ways we are weak, but the Spirit is here to help us. For example, when we don't know what to pray for, the Spirit prays for us in ways that cannot be put into words. All of our thoughts are known to God. He can understand what is in the mind of the Spirit, as the Spirit prays for God's people." it tells us that God can even hear "unuttered groanings". So he can even answer our unspoken request, if need be. God's answer to prayer may be in different all the time as He plans a much larger blessing than we thought. The Bible tells us that God is ready and willing to listen to us and help us only if we approach him with a humble heart. Psalms 138:6 "Though You are above us all, You care for humble people, and You keep a close watch on everyone who is proud." And in Philippians 4:6 "Don't worry about anything, but pray about everything. With thankful hearts offer up your prayers and requests to God," which tells us not to forget to thank God for things he has given us, especially the sacrifice of His only son, Jesus. We may have to pray about something more than once as in the Bible 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says to "pray incessantly". This means that we need to pray persistently and never stop praying. And God will bless us with peace that no one can completely understand because you belong to Christ Jesus. So yes, our mighty God does hear prayers, and if it is appropriate, he always acts on them!
God is AWESOME!!
:)

"We can be confident that He will listen to us whenever we ask Him for anything in line with His will."
---1 John 5:14---

So, do pray all the time!!
=D

God bless...
